Here is a drawing series created over the past few months. After traveling to Japan, to the island of Shikoku for a residency, I began drawing on Japanese paper and around its visible fibers.

First, I pick the leaves or gather them from the ground, then I print them onto paper, choosing a certain arrangement. I then choose the colors, but I never really know what the drawing will become.
