Like automatic writing, the drawing progresses on its own, yet is nourished by a sensory memory made up of images from ecosystems. Fragments of close-up views of imagined forests begin to emerge. These small graphite pencil drawings serve as windows into worlds belonging to a galaxy far from ours, located light years away in distant star clusters.
